Dogs are great companions. They keep you company, they welcome you home, they bark if an intruder enters, and they clean up your table scraps. What great pets, until they destroy the window shutters. This picture demonstrates the damage a do can do to a wooden interior shutter.

This loyal companion has completely demolished these traditional shutters, costing the homeowner hundreds of dollars.  Shutters are generally a very durable window covering, but we don’t know of any window covering that could have endured this abuse.

The dog ripped out all of the lower louvers and chewed on the bottom rail. The shutters in this picture are not reparable and simply will need to be replaced. Today, the dogs bite was worse than it’s bark.
